Using Power-On Functions

The functions below (in italics) are available if you hold down the
corresponding control panel buttons while turning on the printer:

LQ self test = load/eject button
Checks the paper length and prints a self-test at 360 dpi. See "Self testing"
on page 9-5.
Y
Draft self test =
Checks the paper length and performs self-test printing at 180 dpi. See
"Self testing" on page 9-5.
Default setting =
Enters the default-setting mode. See "Changing the Print Settings" in this
chapter.
Hex dump = E load/eject +
Prints the data sent from the computer in hexadecimal code. See "Hex
dump mode" on page 9-7.
Print head alignment =
Enters the print head alignment mode. See page A-12 for details.
