Formatting a CDR or CD-RW from the Backup Window
To format a blank CDR or CD-RW disc to be used by the DVR follow these steps:
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT USING CD-RW DISCS. CD-RW DISCS CAN TAKE UP TO 30 MINUTES OR
MORE TO FORMAT AND HAVE COMPATIBILITY PROBLEMS.
Format a CDR or CD-RW Disc on the DVR unit

Insert a blank CDR or CD-RW disc into the CD-RW drive.

When finished, Direct CD will indicate it is ready for reading and writing.
