TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
PROBLEM CAUSE
Engine clicks but • Weak or dead batterc.

o Dirty fuel filter:.
o Stale or dirty fuel,,
Loss of power
o Water in fuel,,
° Spark plug wire loose,,

CORRECTION
° Recharge or replace battery.
° Clean batteryterminalso: :
° Check all wiring.
- CheckJreplace solenoid or
starter.
° Set in "Higher Cut" posi-
tion/reduce speed.
= Adjust throttle control,,
• Clean underside of mower
housing.
o Clean/replace airfilter1.
• Check oil level/change oil.
= Clean and regap or change
spark plug.
° Replace fuel filter.
° Drain fuel tank and refill with
fresh gasoline.
= Drain fuel tank and carbure-
tor; refill tank with fresh gaso-
line and replace fuel filter:,
° Connect and tighten spark
plug wire.
o Clean engine air screen/fins,,
o Clean/replace muffler,.
o Check all wiring.

section.
= Contact an authorized ser-
vice center.
o Replace blade,, Tighten blade
bolt.
o Replace blade mandrel.
o Tighten loose part(s)o
