Images are out of focus
Cause
Did you operate the
auto-focus correctly?
Is the camera in the right
distance mode setting?
Is the lens dirty?
Is the captured image
blurred?

What to do
Place the subject in the center of the focus area and press the
shutter button halfway. See "Releasing the Shutter" on page 26
for details.
See "Camera range" on page 27 for details.
See "Cleaning your camera" on page 70 and clean the lens.
Hold the camera in the proper position when shooting, with your
lower, support arm close to your body. Use a tripod for night
scenes and other low light situations.
What to do
Use the flash. See "Controlling the Flash" on page 34.
Adjust the exposure setting properly. See "Setting Exposure" on
page 41 for details.
