Checking and Adding Oil
Theengine is shippedwithoutoil in theengine.Youmustfill the
enginewith oil beforeoperating.Runningthe enginewith insufficient
_o can causeserous eng ne damageand vo d the productwarranty.
1. Placethe snowthroweron a flat,level surface.
2. Removethe oil fillercap/dipstickand wipethe dipstickclean. See
Figure7.

3. Add 2/3 of the bottle of oil provided,reinsertdipstick,checklevel
and add moreoil if necessary.
NOTE: Donot screwinthe dipstickwhencheckingthe oil level.
NOTE: It isimportant to NOToverfillwith oil.

Slowlyadd oil untilthe oil levelregistersbetweenhigh (H) and low
(L) on the dipstick,Figure8. Referto the Serviceand Mainte-
nancesectionforthe correctoil viscosityand engine oil capacity.
