When "width of rip" is narrower than 2", the push stick
cannot be used because the guard will interfere. Use the
auxiliary fence and push block for this ripping operation.
Attach auxiliary fence to rip fence with two "C" clamps.
Feed the workpiece
by hand along the auxiliary fence
until the end is approximately
1" past the front edge of the
table, Continue to feed using the push block.
Hold the workpiece in position and install the push block
by sliding it on top of the auxiliary fence/work
support.
This may raise the guard.
Auxiliary Work Support/Fence
I WARNING:
To avoid
injury
from
blade

never perform
thru-saw
cuts narrower
than 112
wide.
Narrow strips thicker than the auxiliary fence/work
sup-
eort may enter the guard and strike the baffle. Carefully
raise guard only enough
to clear the workpiece.

Bevel Ripping
When bevel ripping material 6" or narrower, use fence on
the right side of the blade only. This will provide more
space between the fence and the sawbtade for use of a
push stick. If the fence is mounted to the left, the saw-
blade guard may interfere with proper use of a push stick.
