Unplug your drill.

Open or close the chuck jaws to a point where the
opening is slightlylarger than the drillbit you
intendto use. Also, raise the frontof your drill
slightlyto keep the drillbit from falling out of the
chuck jaws.

insert drill bit into chuck the full length of the jaws.
•
Tighten the chuck jaws securely using the chuck
key provided.
