ASUS Data Guardian (TPM) Software—by Infineon
Security Platform Software
The Infineon Security Platform Software is required to use your Trusted Platform
Module (TPM), which comes with your P5Q Premium motherboard. TPM provides
you with enhanced data protection via high-level encryption/decryption and ensures
platform integrity.
Configuring TPM in BIOS setup
Before you can you the TPM function, you have to enable the TPM support in BIOS
setup. To do this:
1.
Enter the BIOS Setup during POST.
2.
Go to the Advanced menu, select TPM Configuration, and then press
<Enter>.
You have to first install the TPM module to the TPM connector on the
motherboard, or the TPM Configuration item will not appear. See 2. TPM
connector on page 2-28 for the exact location of the TPM connector.
3.
Set the TCG/TPM SUPPORT item to [Yes].
4.
Save your changes, and then exit the BIOS setup.
Installing the Infineon Security Platform Software
To install the Infineon Security Platform software on your computer
1.
Place the support DVD to the optical drive. The Drivers installation tab
appears if your computer has an enabled Autorun feature.
2.
Click the Drivers tab, and then click Infineon TPM Professional Driver.
You have to first install the TPM module to the TPM connector on the
motherboard, or the Infineon TPM Professional Driver item will not appear.
See 2. TPM connector on page 2-28 for the exact location of the TPM
connector.
3.
Follow the screen instructions to complete installation.
4.
Restart the computer.
