Electronic accelerator
(Drive by Wire system)
Drive by Wire is a system that allows the
accelerator pedal to work independently
from the throttle.
This system is equipped with a
potentiometer connected to the accelerator
pedal in the place of the connection cable.
This potentiometer informs the engine
ECU of the torque request from the driver.
With the Drive by Wire system, it is possible
to:
• obtain optimal traction control by means
of the CST system;
• optimise gearshifting thanks to the F1
system integration;
• control warming-up of the power unit.
