CLOSING SEQUENCE

• If the locks on the windscreen cross
member are closed, open them by
operating the handle
A
and check that
the hooks
F
on the locks are open.
If not, the amber symbol
D
is shown on
the multi-function display and the buzzer
sounds (see on page 92).

• Push the toggle switch
B
forward; the
rear locks open and the roof starts
closing.
• The side windows lower fully (they
cannot be operated until the procedure
has been completed).
• The front section of the roof goes
in position on the windscreen cross
member, the hooks of the rear locks
fold away, and the toggle switch
be released.
CLOSE
B
• To secure the front end of the roof to
the windscreen cross member, close
the locks on the windscreen cross
member by operating the handle
CAUTION
This action is essential for the safety of
the occupants and to avoid damaging
the vehicle.
• When the toggle switch
B
can
in the closing direction again, the side
windows move back up and the closing
cycle may be considered complete.
The closing cycle can be interrupted
and the opening cycle started simply by
reversing the position of the toggle switch
B.
If the handle
A
is released while driving
and the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h
(12.4 mph), the clutches automatically
engage and the system switches to the
"Roof Unknown" condition. The buzzer
will sound intermittently and the red
"Roof Failure" icon will appear on the
instrument panel (see on page 46),
without the words "Press Close".
