Correctly Synchronizing

Playback

Two clips are played back on different devices by
synchronizing the order of the clip numbers,
although the following requirements apply to
obtain correct clip synchronization.
• About the Clip Order
Clips play back in the order they were
recorded. The clips on the P2 card must be in
pairs and the recording dates and times within
each pair must be the same. If the number of
clips or the recording dates and times do not
match, playback order on the master and slave
differs, causing incorrect playback.
• About Clip Length
Each pair of video clips must have the same
starting point and length. If the clip lengths are
different, subsequent playback will be incorrect.

• An error occurs when the connected units
are not the same model and version.
• If you inadvertently switch to the SYNC PB
mode and activate the "WAITING FOR
CONNECTION" state, turn the power off
and back on to re-enable the (normal) main
mode.
• Power on/off operation is the same as for 3D

• Clip Time Codes
Each pair of recorded clips must have the
same continuous time code. If the time codes
are different or discontinuous, playback cueing
may not operate correctly, causing incorrect
playback.
◆ NOTE:
• When a clip fails to play back correctly, a
warning is displayed, SDI is muted, and black is
output (with DISCRETE L/R setting), or only the
left image is output (with side-by-side or frame
packing settings).
• Playback of mixed-format clips is possible, but
may be discontinuous, and subsequent
playback wil be incorrect.
• Discontinuous time codes may cause an error
code to appear when cueing the start and end
of clips and during frame-by-frame playback of
clips with different start and end time codes. To
recover, press the STOP button and after
