Precautions when Using the PJ Camera Software
Board Area Capture
When capturing the board area, compose the image so the entire board area fits within it.
For best results, make sure to check for the following when composing an image for Board
Area Capture.
Make sure that the whiteboard contour fits within the image.
Make sure the whiteboard fills the entire image.
Make sure that the center of the image is located within the whiteboard area.
Make sure there is sufficient contrast around the periphery of the whiteboard.
Make sure there is no light from a fluorescent or incandescent light source shining onto the
whiteboard.
Make sure that the angle between the projector and the whiteboard is no greater than 30
degrees.
A slow shutter speed setting is used in order to produce high-resolution images. Avoid
shaking or moving the camera while recording images.
Scanner Mode

Scanner resolution is from approximately 250 dpi (at 10-megapixel resolution) to 160 dpi (at
4-megapixel resolution) at the center of the image if fully zoomed out.
PJ Camera Software Precautions
■ USB Hub Connection
In rare cases, you may not be able to turn off the camera when it is connected to a USB
hub.
If this happens, do not use a USB hub.
■ Recovering after your computer goes into standby
The camera may not operate correctly after you recover from a suspend/standby state on
your computer. After recovering from a suspend/standby state on your computer, press the PJ
Camera stand's power button to turn power off and then back on again.
