    4. Leave the appliance for approximately 2 hours for the correct temperature to be reached before placing food inside. Temperature Control The Refrigerator The thermostat control situated inside the fridge compartment regulates the temperature of the fridge. The thermostat control is marked from 1-5, the higher the number, the colder the setting.

    Do not cover the shelves with paper or trays etc. as this will affect the air circulation within the refrigerator compartment. Do not put hot foods in the refrigerator, allow hot foods to reach room temperature naturally before placing in the refrigerator.

    Normal Operating Sounds You may hear faint gurgling or bubbling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing. When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped round and you will hear a whirring sound or pulsating noise from the compressor.

    Defrosting Refrigerator The refrigerator defrosts every time the compressor stops. The water is discharged, via the pipe, into a tray located at the back of the appliance above the compressor, where it evaporates.
