TouchUp Text Tool
Before editing text, select the target text with the TouchUp Text tool and right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) . Choose Properties from the context menu to
check the text's attributes and editing and embedding permissions . If the font cannot be re-embedded, your edits may cause problems with imaging, because the font
won't be embedded after edits . As a result, the edited text may not image correctly .
You can perform some other text edits without needing to tackle font embedding. The TouchUp
Text tool lets you change the color, size, scaling, strokes, and other attributes without risking
font permissions. Choose the options you'd like in the TouchUp Properties dialog box, and click
Close when you have finished. You're limited in your color choice selections, however, and can-
not specify CMYK or spot colors.
TouchUp Object Tool
The TouchUp Object tool lets you make limited edits on images and vector art in a PDF. For
example, you can perform color conversions on a selected image without using Photoshop.
Choose the TouchUp Object tool by selecting Tools > Advanced Editing > TouchUp Object Tool,
or by clicking the TouchUp Object button (
) in the Advanced Editing toolbar. Select the
image with the TouchUp Object tool, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) , and
choose Properties from the context menu. Click the Color tab, and select an option from the
Convert To pop-up menu.
