INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the supply voltage marked on the
Rating Plate corresponds with the mains supply voltage.
This appliance is fitted with a moulded-on 13A plug top for connection to a socket outlet.
If the location of the appliance requires removal of the plug, this must be performed by a
competent person in accordance with the procedure below.
When the plug is removed, the portion which has been cut off must be disposed of safely to
prevent a shock hazard if inserted into a socket outlet.
To fit another plug or to wire the appliance into a double pole switched fused spur outlet having a
3mm contact separation, the connection is as follows:
IMPORTANT:
The wires in the mains supply lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
The wire coloured Green and Yellow must be connected to the terminal marked 'E' or the earth
symbol ( ) or coloured green or yellow.
The wire coloured Blue must be connected to the terminal marked 'N' or coloured blue or black.
The wire coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal marked 'L' or brown or red.
The electrical outlet should be positioned in an easily accessible position adjacent to the
appliance.
In the event it is necessary to replace the mains lead, the replacement must conform to the
specification listed in the Technical Data ensuring the correct colour code connection and that all
screws are tightened correctly.
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance, always disconnect the appliance from the
electricity supply.
The waste trap should be removed from the sump by pulling up on the handle, and cleaned
regularly with a brush and tap water. When replacing, ensure that the trap is correctly clipped into
position.
