CAUTION: To avoid damage to the system configuration, do not interrupt the
initialization process once it has begun. The initialization process takes
approximately 10 minutes to complete.
After initialization is complete, remove the configuration data diskette from the
diskette drive and place it in a secure location with the RapidLaunch CD.
For cluster deployments only. Once both nodes have been configured, follow the
CST procedures documented in Chapter 4, "Cluster Setup Tool."

Completing the System Configuration

After the initialization process, there are additional tasks required in order to begin
sharing files on the network. All procedures for the configuration tasks may be found
in the NAS E7000 administration guide. These include the following:
•
Changing the system date and time
•
Configuring storage
•
Establishing file shares and create access permissions
In addition to the required configuration steps above several optional tasks may need
to be completed:
•
Enabling additional protocols and the associated file shares
•
NIC teaming
