10.1 DHCP Options

To offer you simple installation of THINTUNE Thin Clients with THINTUNE Manager there are two DHCP extensions
available: one lets you assign a THINTUNE into a predefined group of THINTUNE Manager, the other one assigns
the
IP-address
Assigning the IP-address of the management server is only needed if THINTUNE clients and the management server
are not (!) located in the same physical subnet (e.g. there is a firewall and/or a router in the physical connection
between THINTUNE and management server included).
Option 237 JSmanageD
Option 238 THINTUNE Group
Option 240 Preferred Server lets you define the IP-address of the server which should be used by THINTUNE

10.1.1 Example configuration with Windows 2000 DHCP server

This is a brief example on how to enter DHCP options in your Windows 2000 DHCP server. From "My
Computer" select "Computer Management" and choose the DHCP-entry.

as the management server. This makes sense only if there are multiple
