10.3 Ports and Firewalls

To ensure THINTUNE communications to the firmware server and/or the management server beyond any routers of
firewalls you might need to have access to some special TCP/IP ports. This is a list of ports which might be needed.

10.4 Serial connectivity for use with terminal emulations and Telnet

In some cases hosts or other devices will we connected to THINTUNE´s serial ports. Serial connectivity primarily is
not supported by the built-in terminal emulation. However, serial connectivity can be achieved by using the
THINTUNE serial portmapper.
In a first step you need to configure the serial port with the Port Menu which is in the Device´s tab. A sample
configuration might look as this:
