Disassembling the External Modules
Disassembling the HDD Module
1.
Remove the four (two on each side) screws on HDD carrier.
2.
Remove the HDD EMI shielding and take out the HDD from the carrier.
3.
Disconnect the hard disk drive connector.
Disassembling the Floppy Disk Drive Module
1.
Remove the four screws (two on each side) that secure the FDD to the FDD bracket. Then remove the
FDD from the FDD bracket.
2.
Disconnect FDD FFC.
3.
Use a tool (a tip of a pen or an uncurved paper clipper) to release the FDD door lock on one side, then the
other. And you can remove the FDD door.
Disassembling the Optical Drive Module
1.
Unscrew the two screws holding the optical bracket.
2.
Then remove the optical bracket.
