Settings when using Microsoft Word
❏ When using Word 2003 or earlier:
Select the [Tools] menu ‐ [Options] ‐ the [Compatibility] tab and change the target application to
"Microsoft Word 6.0/95", or check the check box for "Use printer metrics to lay out document" in
[Options] on the same tab.
❏ When using Word 2007:
Select [Word Options]‐[Advanced]‐[Compatibility Options for] and set "Lay out this document
as if created in" to "Microsoft Word 6.0/95," or select "Custom," and check the check box for
"Use printer metrics to lay out document" in [Layout Options].
❏ When using Word 2010:
Select [File]‐[Options]‐[Advanced]‐[Compatibility Options for], select [Microsoft Word 6.0/95] or
[Custom] in [Lay out this document as if created in], and make a check in [Use printer metrics to
lay out document] in [Layout Options].
