6. If the server type is identified as Unknown or Unmanaged with no identified operating system in the
HP SIM console, select the appropriate operating system, and click Next.
7. To deploy the agent immediately, select Run now, and click Done. To schedule the agent deployment,
select Once, designate the appropriate date and time, and click Done.
You cannot apply patches to the systems until after the scheduled task completes and the VPM Patch
Agent is applied successfully.
You can view task results in the VPM Events list after the task completes.

HP Vulnerability and Patch Management Pack events

HP Vulnerability and Patch Management Pack creates events in HP SIM. These events can be viewed with
all HP SIM events in the Events list, or independently in the VPM Events list. For a complete listing of events
