having just bought a canon Power Shot A2600 camera, I am totally amazed at the audacity that this manufacturer shows regarding how new users can become acquainted to the operations of the camera. Take the 'manual' that comes with the initial purchase.
    * the English version takes up just 8 pages.
    * For Manuals and Software, these are only obtainable by downloading from your computer - a total of 124 pages. (if you have one - what do they expect one to do if they do not posses one).
    * i attempt to download and print 'Part Names and Conventions' guide - the wording appears but no diagrams.
Why do the assume therefore, that in streamlining their initial costs to 'the bone', that consumers will continue to accept these 'sharp practices' without any comment and still go on buying their products?.
It leaves me with the only option of returning it to the retailer and to purchase another camera with proper user instructions.
    and still buy their products.
    .

Dorothy, I don't use a power cord, simply remove the memory card from camera, insert it into computer/laptop, and there you go! Takes seconds and your photos are all on the computer!

I recently bought a CANNON POWER Shot A 2500 and was greatly surprise that there was not a power cord to download my pictures to my computer where I do a lot of my work with pictures. I called Sam's club where I bought this camera and they said that I had to return the camera to a near by store and where I live that would mean to travel a long way. ALL I want is to download my pictures to my computer with my new camera. If you can help me please let me know .
