    A3400 IS Touch-Screen Operations The camera’s touch-screen panel enables intuitive operation simply by touching or tapping the screen. Touch Touch the screen briefly with your finger. This gesture is used to shoot, configure camera functions, and so on. Drag Touch the screen and move your finger across it.

    Initial Preparations Prepare for shooting as follows. Attaching the Strap Attach the strap. Thread the end of the strap through the strap hole ( ), and then pull the other end of the strap through the loop on the threaded end Holding the Camera Place the strap around your wrist.

While pressing the battery lock in the direction of the arrow, insert the battery facing as shown and push it in until it clicks into the locked position.     Trying the Camera Out Follow these instructions to turn the camera on, shoot still images or movies, and then view them. Still Images Shooting (Smart Auto) For fully automatic selection of the optimal settings for specific scenes, simply let the camera determine the subject and shooting conditions. Turn the camera on.
