Setting the picture quality for the
U
pictures taken
Set PICT. ADJ. depending on recording
situations and recording images.
CONTRAST Adjust the difference
between the brightness and
the darkness in the picture.
SHARPNESS The picture is sharply
(+) defi ned or softly (–)
focused.
SATURATION The colors in the picture
become vivid (+) or natural
(–).
NOISE
The noise reduction effect
REDUCTION
is adjusted.
If the noise reduction effect is enhanced,
noise decreases, but picture resolution
may deteriorate slightly. To decrease
noise without enhancing the noise
reduction effect, lower the setting
for each items other than [NOISE
REDUCTION].

This feature detects jitter and

The stabilizer function may not work in
the following cases so take special care
not to move the camera when pressing
the shutter button.
When too much jitter occurs.
When the zoom magnifi cation is high.
In digital zoom range.
When taking pictures while following
subjects in motion.
When the shutter speed is extremely
slow due to dark conditions or other
reasons.
In Intelligent auto mode [
selectable.
It is fi xed to [MODE2] in [SELF PORTRAIT]
mode and [OFF] in [STARRY SKY] mode.
In motion picture mode [i], [MODE2]
cannot be set.

The stabilizer operates
continuously and can assist
during photo composition.
