Using the CAMCORDER - Advanced Recording

POWER NIGHT CAPTURE

The NIGHT CAPTURE function works in CAMCORDER mode
only.
The POWER NIGHT CAPTURE function can record a subject
more brightly in darkness than the NIGHT CAPTURE function.
POWER NIGHT CAPTURE is displayed for three seconds on the
LCD if you press the SLOW SHUTTER button when the NIGHT
CAPTURE switch is turned on.
When you work in POWER NIGHT CAPTURE mode, the POWER
NIGHT CAPTURE icon appears on the LCD continuously.
1. Set the device to CAMCORDER and set the
power switch to REC mode.
2. Turn on the NIGHT CAPTURE switch, and
then press the SLOW SHUTTER button.
3. Press the SLOW SHUTTER button to set
the shutter speed. The SLOW SHUTTER function
enables you to record a subject more brightly.
4. When using POWER NIGHT CAPTURE the image
takes on a slow motion like effect.
5. To cancel the POWER NIGHT CAPTURE function,
press the SLOW SHUTTER button until it is set to
"OFF " and then turn off the NIGHT CAPTURE
switch.
Notes
The maximum recording distance using the infrared light is about
3 m (about 10 feet).
If you use the POWER NIGHT CAPTURE function in normal
recording situations (ex. outdoors by day), the recorded picture
may contain unnatural colours.
In POWER NIGHT CAPTURE mode, certain functions are not
available, such as White Balance, Program AE, DSE, BLC.
When the subject is too bright, it is better to press the SLOW
SHUTTER button (S1/6

La función NIGHT CAPTURE (grabación nocturna) sólo está operati-
va en la modalidad CAMCORDER.
Esta función permite grabar objetos que se encuentren en lugares
oscuros con mayor luminosidad que con la función NIGHT CAPTURE.
Si pulsa el botón SLOW SHUTTER (obturador lento) con el interrup-
tor NIGHT CAPTURE encendido, aparecerá la indicación POWER
NIGHT CAPTURE durante 3 segundos en la pantalla LCD.
Si trabaja en la modalidad POWER NIGHT CAPTUTER, el icono
POWER NIGHT CAPTURE aparecerá en la pantalla LCD perma-
nentemente.
1. Ajuste el dispositivo en CAMCORDER y el
interruptor de encendido en la modalidad REC.
2. Encienda el interruptor NIGHT CAPTURE y pulse
el botón SLOW SHUTTER.
3. Pulse el botón SLOW SHUTTER para ajustar la
velocidad del obturador. La función SLOW
SHUTTER permite grabar objetos con mayor
luminosidad.
4. Cuando utiliza la función POWER NIGHT

Notas
La distancia máxima de grabación usando la luz infrarroja es de
unos 3 m (10 pies).
Si usa la función POWER NIGHT CAPTURE en situaciones nor-
males de grabación (por ejemplo, exteriores durante el día), es posi-
ble que los colores de la imagen grabada sean poco naturales.
En la modalidad POWER NIGHT CAPTURE, no se puede acceder
a algunas funciones como Balance de blanco, Programa AE, DSE y
BLC.
