Programming Your Device With Auto Code Search

When using this programming method, the code library starting on page 9 is not required. The
remote control will automatically use the code library stored in your RCU810 remote control.
1. Manually turn on the device you want to program.
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH key until the remote
window displays CODE SET.
3. Step through the programming menu using the
UP ( ) key or DOWN ( ) key for AUTO SRCH,
then press the SELECT key.
4. Use the Device or UP ( ) key DOWN ( ) keys to scroll
to the desired device.
(TV, VCR, TAPE, LDP, DAT, DVD, CD, TUNER, AMP, HOME,
MISC AUD, PHONO, CAB, SAT & VIDEO)
5. After the desired device type is selected, press the
SELECT key to start the auto search mode. The remote
must be in a position where a signal can be sent out to
your device.
NOTE: The UP ( ) key DOWN ( ) key or any other key pressed
will stop the auto search and the remote will go into
manual search that begins the next code or the code before
from the currently selected code.
6. When stepping through the code library the remote
will automatically send out a Power Off or Channel
Up signal to check if the code is valid.
NOTE: The code list is defaulted so you can only scroll through
the list once. Once the auto code search completes
advancing through all the codes in the remote library, the
message END CYCLE will be displayed for 1 second
followed by the display message EXIT SETUP for 1
second, and the remote will exit the auto code search.
7. When the selected device turns off, the four-digit code
is valid. Press the SELECT key to save the code and
exit the auto search mode. The LCD display window
will show a message displaying SUCCESS and
automatically EXIT SETUP for its original operation.
8. With your device on , press the CH+ (Channel Up). Some
devices may not respond to CH+. For those devices
press the ON•OFF key. If the device responds, no further
programming is required.
NOTE
• Press the CLEAR key at any time to exit the programming
mode. An EXIT SETUP message will appear confirming that
no new codes have been entered.
• If about 30 seconds passes before a key is pressed, the LCD
display window will stop transmission to conserve battery life.
If this occurs, restart from step 1.
