2 Press or to highlight Sound. The Sound menu opens.

3 Press or to highlight an option, then press or to adjust
the option. You can select:
• MTS— (analog TV channels only) You can select: Mono (if
there is noise or static on weak stereo broadcasts), Stereo
(for programs broadcast in stereo), or Sap (to listen to a
secondary audio program, if available).
Note: Mono is automatically selected if the program is broadcast in mono.
• Multi-Language—(DTV channels only) Selects an
alternate audio language, if available.
Tip: You can also press MTS/SAP on the remote control to select an audio
language, if available.
• Sound Status—Selects the sound mode. You can select
Classic (for classical music), Speech (for news programs),
Jazz (for jazz music), Rock (for rock music), or User (for a
customized sound mode).
• Balance—Adjusts the balance between the left and right
audio channels.
• Bass—Adjusts the low sounds.
• Treble—Adjusts the high sounds.
• Audio Out—Sets the audio output to Fixed (the volume
output to an external audio system can only be controlled by
the audio system's remote control), or Variable (the volume
output to the external audio system can be controlled by the
TV's remote control).
• Audio Reset—Resets all settings in the Sound menu to
their default values.
4 Press EXIT to return to the previous menu, or press MENU to
close the menu.

To set the time zone:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.
