Selecting the closed captioning type

To select the closed captioning type:
1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens.

captioning when viewing analog TV source), Advanced (only displays
closed captioning when viewing digital TV source), or Auto
(automatically detects the source and displays corresponding closed
captioning).

6 Press or to select a closed captioning option, then press
or to adjust the setting. You can select:
• Analog CC—CC1 through CC4: Closed captioning appears in
a small banner across the bottom of the screen. CC1 is usually
the "printed" version of the audio. CC2 through CC4 display
content provided by the broadcaster. Text1 through Text4:
Closed captioning that covers half or all of the screen. Text1
through Text4 display content provided by the broadcaster.
• Digital CC—Service1 through Service6: display content
provided by the broadcaster.
• Font—Selects the font style
• Font Size—Selects the font size
• Font Style—Selects the edge style
• Text Color—Selects the color for the words
• Text Opacity—Selects the opacity level for the words
• BG Color—Selects the color for the background
• BG Opacity—Selects the opacity level for the background
• Edge Color—Selects the edge color
7 Press EXIT to return to the previous menu, or press MENU to
close the menu.
