Preparing to Download Images

To download to your computer images shot with your camera, you will
need to connect your camera and computer using the interface cable
provided with your camera.
The connection process will vary depending on your camera model, so
follow the connection instructions for your camera model below.

Connecting the REBEL XTi/400D and a Computer

Connect the camera and computer using the interface cable provided
with your camera.

Connect the large plug of the cable into the USB port
of your computer.
For the location and direction of the USB port, refer to the
computer User's Manual.
2 Connect the small plug of the cable into the
< > terminal on your camera.
Connect with the < > mark on the plug facing the front of the
camera.
Image downloading preparation is now complete. Continue with
"Starting up EU" (p.9).
