Editing or Viewing a Wise Package Definition

Software Manager Reference
Use Software Manager to edit, view, or delete Wise package definitions.
With Enterprise Management Server, Security Setup determines whether you can edit a
package definition file.
To edit a package definition
1.
(Enterprise Management Server only.) If multiple databases are open, select a
database in the Applications/Packages pane.
2.
In the Applications/Packages pane, click a package that is defined.
To determine if a package is defined, do any of the following:
Select Package menu > Filter and mark Display Defined Packages in the
Filter Based on Package Definition section. This displays package definitions
that were created in Workbench and Software Manager.
Look for the
package definition that was created in Workbench.
Select the package in the Applications/Packages pane and look in the Package
pane. If the package definition was created in Workbench, then "Wise Package
Definition file" appears on the line under the package name.
3.
Select Packages menu > Package Definition > Create/Edit.
The Package Definition dialog box appears with three tabs that correspond to the
first three dialog boxes that appear when you create a package definition file.
4.
Click a tab.
For information on how to complete each tab, see the instructions for the
corresponding dialog boxes in
5.
When you finish editing the package definition file, click OK.
The package definition file and its Files directory are updated.
To delete a package definition
If the package definition was created in Workbench, delete the package from the
Applications/Packages pane.
If the package definition was created in Software Manager, right-click the package in
the Applications/Packages pane and select Package Definition > Delete.
In either case, deleting the package definition does not remove the package definition
file (.WPF) from the share point directory.
