An Autotune may have been activated.

No video with TV connected to HMDI jack
If your TV has an HMDI input jack but is not HDCP compatible, you may not be able to
view video from your DIRECTV HD Receiver's HDMI OUT jack. Connect your TV using
another video output jack on the receiver.
Note
If your TV is connected with just coaxial cables, you only need to tune to Channel 3 or 4.
