16.1 Adding Transfers to the List

To add a transfer, click File > Paste. Specify a URL then click OK. Finally, select where
to save the downloaded file. The entry for the transfer is added to the main window of
KGet and the download starts. Another way to add a transfer is to simply drag a file
(for example, from an FTP server) from Konqueror and drop it in the main KGet window.
TIP: Using the Drop Target
To occasionally add transfers to the list while not leaving the KGet window on
the desktop all the time, select Settings > Show Drop Target and minimize the
KGet window. Now you can drag and drop transfers to the blue arrow displayed
instead.
Modify the preferences for your downloads by clicking Settings > Configure KGet.

16.2 Adding Transfers from a File

If you want to download several files from a number of different locations, you can
collect the download links in a text file to be imported in KGet. This is very convenient
because you do not have to add each URL separately to the transfer list. KGet can parse
the URLs in the text file, provided they start at the left margin of the file. Select File >
Import Text File... to use this feature. For each URL, you need to specify a location
where to save the downloaded file. After this, KGet starts the download.

16.3 Timer-Controlled Transfers
