Ark
Ark is a GUI-based pack program for the KDE desktop. It supports common formats,
such as zip, tar.gz, tar.bz2, lha, and rar. You can view, select, pack, and
unpack single files within an archive. Due to Ark's integration with Konqueror,
you can also trigger actions (such as unpacking an archive) from the context menu
in the file manager, similar to WinZip. For a short introduction to using Ark, refer

dump
The dump package contains both dump and restore. dump examines files in a file
system, determines which ones need to be backed up, and copies those files to a
specified disk, tape, or other storage medium. The restore command performs the
inverse function of dump—it can restore a full backup of a file system. Find more

Evince
Evince is a document viewer for PDF and PostScript formats for the GNOME
desktop. Find more information at

File Roller
File Roller is a GUI-based pack program for the GNOME desktop. It provides
features similar to Ark's. For more information, refer to

GEdit
GEdit is the official text editor of the GNOME desktop. It provides features similar
to Kate's. Find more information at

GNU Parted
GNU Parted is a command line tool for creating, destroying, resizing, checking,
and copying partitions and the file systems on them. If you need to create space
for new operating systems, use this tool to reorganize disk usage and copy data
between different hard disks. Find more information at
