Status request

If a status is requested on a delivered mes-
sage the date and time of delivery may be
shown. If the status is requested on a sent
message a status request is sent to the
network (must be network supported).
The network then answers by sending a
status report (SR) back to the phone. Press

Storage consumption

The storage status for SMS messages can
be consulted.
To know the number of messages stored,
or
the total available space on the Phone
memory and on the SIM
card:

Broadcast - cell broadcast
(CB) messages
These messages are broadcast by the net-
works to GSM users and may provide gen-
eral information about local area dialling
codes, weather reports, traffic, news, etc.
Each type of message is numbered and en-
ables to select the type of information to
be received.
Up to 5 different types of messages can be
programmed into the selection list.
16 standard message types are pre-pro-
grammed into the phone to be selected
from. New message types can be pro-
grammed into the selection list using the

3 digit cell broadcast type number. Con-
tact your service provider for details on the
type of messages they may broadcast.
Before you activate the broadcast message
service you have to enter one message
type at least into the selection list.
