The purpose of this quick-start manual is to help you more easily navigate the new V3 (CC-
TR300TW) cyclo-computer. (This setup sequence will delete all data in computer and restore to the
factory default settings.)
First make sure to remove the paper tab behind the battery in the computer head unit.
1. Press and hold the silver MENU button on the back of the head unit. Then use a
paperclip to press the silver AC button for several seconds. Continue to hold the
MENU button as the screen shows all available characters then stops at a screen with
a large 24h on the top part of the screen.
2. Select your preferred date format (YY/MM/DD) by pressing the M1/+ button (top right).
Confirm your selection by pressing the SSE button (bottom left).
3. Enter the "Year", "Month", and "Day" in the display order selected in step 2 using the
M1/+ and M2/-. Confirm each unit using the SSE button.
4. Select the clock display format (24h vs. 12h) using the M1/+. Confirm using SSE.
5. Enter the "Hour" and "Minute" using the M1/+ and M2- (please pay attention to the
AM/PM indication at the bottom right). Confirm using SSE.
6. After you set the date/clock press the silver MENU button on back to proceed.
7. Enter the tire circumference on the bicycle wheel in millimeters (tire size chart
available in product manual or at www.cateye.com) Enter the last two digits of the tire
circumference by using the M1/+ and M2/-. Confirm with SSE. Now enter the first two
digits the same way using M1/+ and M2/-. Confirm with SSE.
8. After choosing the tire circumference measurement press the silver MENU button on
the back.
Note: To complete the next step you must have the computer head unit, heart rate sensor, and speed
sensor all within 5 meters of each other. You must be wearing the heart rate sensor. (For further
instructions on wearing heart rate sensor see page ENG-9 in owners manual.)
9. While holding the computer head unit and wearing the heart rate sensor press the
SSE button, once the head unit syncs with the heart rate sensor the screen will read
ID-OK.
10. Now you will need to have the speed sensor nearby. Press SSE, then press SSE
again, pass the magnet past the speed sensor "sensor zone" area until the screen
reads ID-OK.
11. Press the silver MENU button on the back to select speed unit. Use M1/+ to toggle
between mile and km. To confirm press the silver MENU button on the back.
The setup is now complete. The unit is ready to use. Note: The data accumulated on a single ride
can be zeroed out by pressing SSE and M2/- simultaneously then releasing the buttons.
