DVD Display Panel

Appears when the
A-B repeat function
is on.
Appears when the
repeat function is on.
Appears when
the ALL repeat
function is on.
Appears when the
inserted disc comes
to a pause.
Appears during slow motion
playback. (DVD)

VCR Display Panel

Indicates a cassette tape is in the unit.
Appears when the auto repeat
function is on.
Appears if cassette tape
playback is paused.
Appears during slow motion
playback.
Appears during cassette tape
playback.

Selecting DVD or VCR Operation

You must first select either DVD or VCR operation.
VCR MODE
Press [VCR] on the remote control.
(Verify that the VCR indicator is lit.)
DVD MODE
Press [DVD] on the remote control.
(Verify that the DVD indicator is lit.)

Displays a type of the disc
which is inserted on the tray.
• DVD: DVD-video
• CD: Audio CD/JPEG on CD
Appears when the
progressive scan
system is activated.
GROUP
P.SCAN
DVD
CD
Displays how long the current title or track
has been played back. When a chapter or track is
switched, the number of a new title,
chapter or track is displayed.
Appears when the inserted
disc is being played back.
Displays the elapsed playing time of a tape; also displays a selected
input mode, tape speed, remaining time for an
OTR or the current time.

Appears when an OTR, timer recording,
or satellite link has been set.
Appears during recording;
REC
flashes when recording is paused.
PM
Indicates current time is PM.
There is no AM indication.
