The HTR1 comes with a handheld wireless remote control. This chapter describes how to
use the remote control to program the VCR. After you have done the initial system setup,
Chapter 4
shows you how to use the remote control for basic operating functions.
Before you use the remote control, install the two AAA/E92/AM4 batteries (supplied with
the remote control) inside the battery compartment. Then, simply point the remote control
at the front panel of the VCR.
Several of the buttons have dual functions (see
each button functions as labeled, but during Program mode several buttons function
differently.

lists the remote control buttons and describes their functions in
Program and Play modes.
