TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM
When the machine is switched
on, the steam and hot water lights
are fl ashing.
Coffee does not run through
Coffee runs out too quickly
Coffee is too cold

POSSIBLE CAUSES
Selector Control is not in 'Standby'
position
Machine is not turned on or plugged in
Water tank is empty
Coffee grind is too fi ne
Too much coffee in the fi lter
Coffee tamped too fi rmly
The fi lter is blocked
The coffee grind is too coarse
Not enough ground coffee in the fi lter
Ground coffee not tamped fi rmly enough
Cups not preheated
Milk not heated enough (if making a
cappuccino or latté)
WHAT TO DO
Turn the Selector Control to 'Standby' position.
Machine will commence normal heat up
procedure.
Ensure the machine is plugged in, switched on
at the power outlet and the POWER button is
pressed to 'on'.

Ensure you use a suitable espresso grind.

Use the fi ne pin on the cleaning tool to clear the
holes.

The cup warming plate starts to warm up as the
machine warms up.
