    A New Management Standard Development of the DASH specifications is based on a history of preceding technologies and specifications. DASH has been designed to solve many of the pitfalls and constraints of previous management standards by leveraging well- proven technologies from the Service Oriented Architecture domain, advancements in security standards, and extensive modeling of management components, configuration data and relationships first introduced in the server management domain.
