CHANGING THE MOVIE FILE FORMAT

Change the file type of your movie to one of the options below.
Movie: The default movie file format. When the movie is pasted into
another file, the movie itself isn't copied to the file. Instead, a
pointer is placed in the file that tells it where to find the movie.
Movie, self-contained: This means the entire movie will be copied
when you paste it into another file. The file size will be larger, but
the file will not need access to the drive where the original movie is
stored.
Movie, cross-platform: Select this format when your movie will be
played on a computer not running the Apple System Software.
Movie to Picture: Save a movie frame as a still-frame picture. Select
Save As... with the movie stopped on the desired frame. The
Options... button will be activated so you can choose
recompression settings (p 75).
1. Select Save as... from the File menu while the
movie is open.
• The save dialog box will appear.
Select the folder
where the movie
is to be saved
again.
Name the movie
again.
Choose a movie
file format.
