Quad-Speed CD-ROM Reader Specifications and Jumper Settings
Adjacent to the standard 40-pin IDE connector on the back of the CD-ROM reader is a
jumper block with the following labels as read from left to right: C.S., SL, and MA. The
following is a summary of the jumper settings:

C.S. (cable select) — enables/disables the cable select feature. Factory set at
disabled (pins not jumpered).

SL (slave) — enables/disables the slave feature. Factory set at disabled (pins not
jumpered)

MA (master) — enables/disables the master feature. Factory set at enabled (pins
jumpered)
