IR receiver (omitted if adapter cable CA 1220 or monitor MM 2700 is used)
Connect the 3.5-mm jack plug of the IR receiver to the "IR Remote Receiver" socket
of the tuner.
TV antennas (accessories)
Up to 2 antennae can be connected to the tuner via antenna sockets "ANT IN 1"
and "ANT IN 2" (e.g. VDO Dayton Antenna Set TVA 6500).
If using the TVA 6500 antenna set, turn the phantom power supply "ANT PWR" to
"ON". This supplies power to the signal amplifier.
For assembly details please see installation instructions for antenna (supplied with
the antenna).

Connecting accessories

AV source
An additional AV source (e.g. DVD player) may also be connected to the DVB-T tuner.
Appropriate Cinch cables (accessories) should be connected to the AV input
("AUDIO / VIDEO IN") of the DTV 6500.
Other possible connections
Connection to the car radio for audio signal output
The audio outputs of the DVB-T tuner's AV output can be connected to a free input on
the car radio (e.g. AUX) in order to output the tuner's audio signal via the vehicle's
loudspeakers.
WT 5100 (infrared audio transmitter) and WH 5100 (IR headphones)
The stereo output signal from the DVB-T tuner can be transmitted via the infrared
audio transmitter WT 5100 and received wirelessly via the infrared headphones
WH 5100.
The audio output of the DVB-T tuner is connected to the WT 5100 input for this
purpose. The WT 5100 must be positioned at a suitable spot in the vehicle.

Setting up the remote control

Insert batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of
the remote control.
Insert two new Type AAA (micro) batteries.
Ensure correct polarity (marked in the battery
compartment).
Close the battery compartment.
