Power AC lead unplugged or power not
switched ON.
Tape Monitor selected.
Mute on.
Balance control not centered.
RCA lead to power amplifier not properly
connected or damaged.
Input lead disconnected or damaged.
Subwoofer is off, not powered or improperly
connected.
Battery flat or incorrectly inserted.
IR transmitter or receiver windows obstructed.
IR receiver in direct sun or very bright ambient
light.
No signal.
Hum on phono input.
Weak or distorted signal.
poSSible SolutionS
Check if AC lead is plugged in and power
switched ON.
De-select Tape Monitor mode.
Switch off Mute.
Center Balance control.
Check leads and connections.
Check leads and connections.
Power-up subwoofer, check subwoofer's AC
outlet or check connections.
Check or replace battery.
Remove obstruction.
Place unit away from direct sun, reduce
amount of ambient light.
Check if MC-MM switch is set to the correct
input.
Check if phono earth lead is connected to
the PHONO GROUND connector.
Check if the turntable is connected to the
correct C 165BEE MM or MC phono input.
