• Power AC lead unplugged or power not
switched ON.
• Tape Monitor selected.
• Mute on.
• Balance control not centered.
• RCA lead to power amplifier not properly
connected or damaged.
• Input lead disconnected or damaged.
• Subwoofer is off, not powered or improperly
connected.
• Battery flat or incorrectly inserted.
• IR transmitter or receiver windows obstructed.
• IR receiver in direct sun or very bright ambient
light.
• No signal.
• Hum on phono input.
• Weak or distorted signal.
poSSible SolutionS
• Check if AC lead is plugged in and power
switched ON.
• De-select Tape Monitor mode.
• Switch off Mute.
• Center Balance control.
• Check leads and connections.
• Check leads and connections.
• Power-up subwoofer, check subwoofer's AC
outlet or check connections.
• Check or replace battery.
• Remove obstruction.
• Place unit away from direct sun, reduce
amount of ambient light.
• Check if MC-MM switch is set to the correct
input.
• Check if phono earth lead is connected to
the PHONO GROUND connector.
• Check if the turntable is connected to the
correct C 165BEE MM or MC phono input.
