BASIC SAFETY RULES

To drive the vehicle, you must satisfy cer-
tain legal requirements (driving licence,
minimum age limit, psychophysical fit-
ness, insurance, vehicle licence tax, vehi-
cle registration, number plate, etc.).
Begin to familiarise yourself with the vehi-
cle by riding in low traffic areas and/or pri-
vate ground.
Certain prescribed medicines, alcohol,
drugs and psychotropic substances will af-
fect your riding, thereby increasing the risk
of an accident. Be sure that you are in
good psychophysical conditions and fit for
driving and pay particular attention to
physical weariness and drowsiness.

Most road accidents are caused by inexpe-
rienced riders.
NEVER lend your vehicle to a beginner
and make sure any person borrowing your
vehicle fills the legal requirements for driv-
ing.
Strictly observe all posted signs and na-
tional and local road regulations.
Avoid any sudden or risky manoeuvres
that may endanger your and other people's
safety (for example: wheelies, speeding,
etc.), and adjust your riding style to road
surface conditions, visibility, etc.
Avoid obstacles that could damage the ve-
hicle or make you lose control of the vehi-
cle.
Avoid riding in the slipstream of vehicles
ahead in order to increase your speed.
WARNING
Always hold the handlebars with both
hands and keep both feet on the foot-
pegs (or on the rider's footboards), in
the correct riding position.
Do not stand up or stretch your limbs
while riding.
