INSTRUCCIONES PARA EXTRAER LA MOTO-
CICLETA DE LA CAJA
MENSAJES DE SEGURIDAD
Los siguientes mensajes de advertencia son utilizados en
todos los folletos para llamar la atención en las situaciones
que se describen a continuación.
Símbolo de advertencia de seguridad. Cuando se
encuentre en la motocicleta o en el folleto de instruc-
ciones, indica un riesgo potencial de lesiones. ¡El in-
cumplimiento de las instrucciones indicadas con este
símbolo puede poner en peligro Vs. seguridad, la de
otras personas y de la motocicleta! Peligro de le-
siones o incluso la muerte. Riesgo potencial de leves
lesiones o daños a la motocicleta.
PELIGRO
Peligro de lesiones graves o incluso la muerte.
ATENCIÓN
Riesgo potencial de leves lesiones o daños a la moto-
cicleta.
IMPORTANTE
La palabra "IMPORTANTE" precede cualquier infor-
mación importante que se encuentra en el folleto de
instrucciones.
Por razones de seguridad, antes de arrancar la
motocicleta, es necesario realizar un control prelimi-
nar. Consultar la LISTA DE LOS CONTROLES PRE-
LIMINARES QUE SE ENCUENTRA EN EL MANUAL DE
USO Y MANTENIMIENTO DEL VEHÍCULO. El in-
cumplimiento de dichos controles puede provocar le-
siones graves o daños al vehículo. Se necesita muy
poco tiempo para realizar estas operaciones, pero las
ventajas que derivan en términos de seguridad, son
considerables.
BATERÍA
PELIGRO
El electrolito de la batería es una sustancia tóxica,
cáustica y en contacto con la piel puede provocar
graves quemaduras, porque contiene ácido sulfúrico.
Cuando se trabaja en contacto con la batería, utilizar
siempre indumentaria adecuada, máscara protectora
para la cara y/o anteojos que se adhieran completa-
mente a la cara. En caso de contacto accidental con la
piel, lavar abundantemente la zona interesada con
agua. En caso de contacto accidental con los ojos,

lavar abundantemente con agua por lo menos durante
15 minutos y dirigirse inmediatamante a un oculista.
En el caso en que el electrolito fuese ingerido, beber
agua o leche en abundancia y luego leche de magne-
sio o aceite vegetal. Dirigirse inmediatamante a un
médico. La batería produce gases nocivos y explo-
sivos; mantenerla lejos de cigarrillos, llamas libres,
chispas o cualquier otra fuente de calor. Durante el
uso o la recarga, asegurarse que el local esté venti-
lado de manera correcta y evitar inhalar los gases en
la fase de recarga de la batería. MANTENER LEJOS
DEL ALCANCE DE LOS NIÑOS. No inclinar excesiva-
mente el vehículo ni la batería, para evitar eventuales
salidas del electrolito.
ATENCIÓN
El líquido de la batería es corrosivo. No liberarlo ni es-
parcirlo, sobre todo en las partes de plástico. Luego
de haber quitado la batería, colocarla en un lugar seg-
uro, lejos del alcance de los niños. La batería es muy
peligrosa y puede provocar lesiones e incluso la
muerte
PRIMERA CARGA DE LA BATERÍA
ATENCIÓN
Quitar el asiento destornillando el tornillo (1).
Quitar el tapón (2) del contenedor para la recarga (3).
Colocar el contenedor en la batería, como ilustra la figu-
ra.
Utilizar el mismo tapón (2) para cerrar los agujeros de la
batería.
MONTAJE DE LA BATERÍA
Asegurarse que la llave de encendido esté en posición
" ".
Colocar la batería en su alojamiento.
Conectar primero el cable positivo (+) y luego el nega-
tivo (-).
Utilizar grasa neutra o vaselina para lubricar los termi-
nales.
MONTAJE DE LA BATERÍA LUEGO DE LA
PRIMERA RECARGA
ATENCIÓN
Luego de haber cargado la batería, esperar por lo menos
una hora y luego proceder con la recarga lenta (1,2 A x 5-
10 h). Una vez terminada la recarga, esperar 5-10
minutos antes de montar nuevamente la batería,
porque sigue produciendo gases por un determinado
período de tiempo aún luego de la recarga.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING MOTORCY-
CLE FROM CRATE
SAFETY MESSAGES
The following warning messages are used on all the in-
struction sheet to draw attention to the situations de-
scribed below.
Safety warning symbol. When you see this symbol
on the motorcycle or instruction sheets, beware of po-
tential injury hazards. Failure to observe the instruc-
tions following these symbols may affect your safety,
the safety of others and that of the motor cycle! Risk of
serious injury or death. Possible risk of slight injury or
damage to motor cycle.

CAUTION
Possible risk of slight injury or damage to motor
cycle.
IMPORTANT
The word "IMPORTANT" is written before any im-
portant information in the instruction sheet.
For the sake of safety, before starting the vehi-
cle, carry out a thorough preliminary check. See
the PRELIMINARY CHECK LIST IN THE VEHICLE
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE HANDBOOK.
Failure to carry out these checks may lead to seri-
ous injury or damage to the vehicle. Very little time
is required, and the benefits in terms of safety are
enormous.
BATTERY
DANGER
Battery electrolyte is toxic, caustic and the contact
with the skin may cause serious burns, since it
contains sulphuric acid. Wear protective clothing,
a face shield and/or tight fitting goggles when
working around the battery. In case of contact with
the skin, flush immediately with plenty of water. In
case of contact with the eyes, flush with plenty of

water for at least 15 minutes. Immediately consult
an optician. If the electrolyte is accidentally swal-
lowed, drink large quantities of water or milk, and
then milk of magnesia or vegetable oil. Immediate-
ly consult a health professional. The battery gives
off noxious and explosive gases; keep it away from
cigarettes, flames, sparks and any other source of
heat. During the recharging or the use, make sure
that the room is properly ventilated and avoid in-
haling the gases released during the recharging.
KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. Do not tip the vehi-
cle too much, or tip the battery too much, to avoid
electrolyte leaking out.
CAUTION
The battery liquid is corrosive. Do not pour or
sprinkle it, particularly on plastic parts. When the
battery has been removed it must be placed in a
safe place out of the reach of children. The battery
is very dangerous and may cause injury or death.
INITIAL BATTERY CHARGING
CAUTION
Remove the saddle, by unscrewing the screws (1).
Remove the cap (2) from the recharge container (3).
Place the container in the battery as shown in the
drawing.
Use the same plug (2) to close up battery holes.
FITTING THE BATTERY
Make sure the ignition key is in the " " position.
Place the battery into its housing.
First connect the positive cable (+) the negative (-).
Use a neutral grease or vaseline to grease termi-
nals.
REFITTING THE BATTERY AFTER FIRST RE-
CHARGE
CAUTION
After filling, leave the battery to stand or at least an
hour and then recharge slowly (1.2 A x 5-10 h).
Wait 5-10 minutes after recharging and then fit the
battery, since it continues to produce gas for a pe-
riod after recharging.
