BRAKE FLUID - recommenda-
tions
IMPORTANT
This vehicle is provided
with front and rear disk brakes, with sepa-
rate hydraulic circuits.
The following information refers to a single
braking system, but it is valid for both.
WARNING
Sudden resistance or clearance prob-
lems on the brake lever may be due to
failures in the hydraulic system. In case
of any doubt about the correct working
of the braking system or should it be im-
possible to carry on the usual checking
operations, please contact an aprilia Of-
ficial Dealer.
WARNING
Pay particular attention to the brake disk
and friction material: make sure that they
are not dirty or oily, especially after main-
tenance or checking operations.
Make sure that the brake pipe is neither
twisted nor worn out.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE FLUID IN THE
ENVIRONMENT.

DISK BRAKES

WARNING
The brakes are the parts that most guar-
antee your safety, therefore they must
always work perfectly; check them before
every trip.
A dirty disk soils the pads, thus reduc-
ing the braking efficiency. Dirty pads
must be replaced, while dirty disks must
be cleaned with a high-quality degreasing
product.
The brake fluid must be replaced every
two years by an aprilia Official Dealer.
