PELIGRO
Los frenos son los órganos que garantizan mayor-
mente la seguridad, por lo tanto hay que conservarlos
siempre en perfecta eficacia y controlarlos antes de
cada viaje.
Un disco sucio ensucia las pastillas y por consiguien-
te reduce la eficacia de frenado. Las pastillas sucias
deben ser sustituidas, mientras que el disco sucio
debe ser limpiado con un producto desengrasante de
alta calidad.
Al conducir con las llantas dañadas se perjudica la
seguridad propia, de los demás y del vehículo.
Controle las condiciones de la llanta rueda y, de re-
sultar dañada, hágala sustituir.

PELIGRO
Hay que sustituir el líquido de los frenos una vez cada
año.
Este vehículo está equipado con frenos hidráulicos de
disco.
IMPORTANTE
Para la versión con freno de tambor

trasero , las siguientes informaciones se refieren sólo
al sistema de frenado de disco delantero.
Gastándose las pastillas del freno, el nivel del líquido dis-
minuye para compensar automáticamente el desgaste.
Los depósitos del líquido frenos (1) se encuentran debajo
del cubremanillar, cerca de los pivotes palancas freno.
Controle periódicamente el nivel del líquido frenos en los
depósitos (1) y el desgaste de las pastillas, véase
pág. 119 (COMPROBACION DESGASTE PASTILLAS).

Para controlar el nivel:
IMPORTANTE
Coloque el vehículo sobre un suelo
sólido y llano.
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central.
Gire el manillar, de modo que el líquido contenido en el
depósito líquido frenos sea paralelo a la referencia
"MIN" presente en el cristal (2).
Compruebe que el líquido frenos contenido en el depó-
sito supere la referencia "MIN" presente en el cristal (2).
Si el líquido no alcanza por lo menos la referencia "MIN":
Compruebe el desgaste de las pastillas de los frenos,
véase pág. 119 (COMPROBACION DESGASTE PAS-
TILLAS).
Si las pastillas no deben ser sustituidas:
Busque la causa de la anomalía comprobando:
– integridad tubos de frenos (presencia de grietas o cortes);
– pares de apriete empalmes;
– eventuales pérdidas en los puntos de unión tubos;
– integridad pinza de freno y depósito;
– pares de apriete tornillo de purga;
– eventuales pérdidas del tapón depósito (par de apriete
tornillos, integridad junta).
Restablezca las condiciones de eficacia de la instala-
ción de frenado.
Proceda al relleno.

The brakes are the parts that most ensure your safety
and for this reason they must always be perfectly
working; check them before every trip.
A dirty disc soils the pads, with consequent reduction
of the braking efficiency. Dirty pads must be replaced,
while dirty discs must be cleaned with a high-quality
degreaser.
Riding with damaged rims is dangerous for the rider,
the vehicle and other people.
Check the conditions of the wheel rim and have it
changed if it is damaged.

The brake fluid must be changed once a year.
This vehicle is provided with hydraulic disc brakes.
NOTE
For the version with rear drum brake
lowing information refers to the front disc brake only.
When the disc pads wear out, the level of the fluid de-
creases to automatically compensate for their wear.
The brake fluid reservoir (1) are positioned under the han-
dlebar cover, near the brake lever couplings. Periodically
check the brake fluid level in the reservoir (1) and the wear
of the pads, see p. 119 (CHECKING WEAR OF THE
BRAKE PADS).

To check the brake fluid level, proceed as follows:
NOTE
Position the vehicle on firm and flat ground.
Position the vehicle on the centre stand.
Rotate the handlebar, so that the fluid contained in the
brake reservoir is parallel to the "MIN" mark stamped
on the glass gauge (2).
Make sure that the brake fluid contained in the reser-
voir exceeds the "MIN" mark stamped on the glass
gauge (2).
If the fluid does not reach the "MIN" mark:
Check the brake pad wear, see p. 119 (CHECKING
WEAR OF THE BRAKE PADS).
If the pads do not need changing, proceed as follows:
Try to find out the cause of the anomaly, checking:
– the soundness of the brake pipes (presence of
cracks or cuts);
– the coupling driving torques;
– the pipe joints for leaks;
– the soundness of the brake caliper and of the reser-
voir;
– the bleed screw driving torque;
– the reservoir cap for leaks (screw driving torque,
gasket condition).
Restore the efficiency of the braking system.
Provide for topping up.
