Symptom
After-Images can still be seen
on your plasma TV after the TV
is powered off. (Examples of
still pictures include logos,
video games, computer
images, and images displayed
in 4:3 normal mode.)
Artifacting, or "noise", appears
in the picture
Screen brightness is
diminished

Possible Cause
1 A still picture is displayed for
an extended period of time.
1 An image of lower quality is
"up-converted" to display on
your plasma TV.
1 It is normal for video display
devices to experience
degradation of brightness
over the life of the product.

Troubleshooting
Remedy
1 Do not allow a still image to
be displayed for an
extended period of time
because this can cause a
permanent after-image to
remain on your plasma TV.

1 When your plasma TV's
digital capabilities exceed a
digital broadcast signal, the
signal is up-converted
(increased) to match your
plasma TV's display
capabilities.
1 Normal brightness
degradation is not
considered a warranted
defect.
