Chapter 3: Using Your Plasma TV Controls
Using picture-on-picture (POP)
mode
When the picture-on-picture (POP) mode is active, the screen is divided into
two equal parts with a picture displayed on each side. The OSD in the
upper-right corner of your screen lists the video input source displayed on each
side of the screen.
Tips & Tricks
To control POP mode with the remote control:
1
Press the PIP button on the remote control twice to turn on POP mode.
The screen is split into two pictures. The picture on the left side of your
screen is the main picture. The picture on the right side of the screen is
the sub-picture.
2
If you want to swap the pictures, press the SWAP button.
3
If you want to change the video input source for the main picture, press
the INPUT SELECT button or any one of the DIRECT INPUT buttons on
the remote control.
4
If you want to change the video input source for the sub-picture, press the
SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through all available video input
sources for the sub-picture.

You can use POP mode if your video input source is set
to TV, AV, or S-Video. You can also use POP mode if your
video input source is set to Component 1 or Component 2,
but only if the video input source is 480i or lower, such as
a DVD player. Component video input sources higher than
480i, such as a HDTV set-top box, do not work in POP
mode. If your video input source is set to RGB or DVI, POP
mode does not work.
