General Text Entry Rules

Use the keypad to enter letters, numbers, symbols, and other characters with the
tap method. Press the same key repeatedly to cycle through available characters.
(See the "Character Chart". )
Press a number key
to enter text at
flashing cursor
location.
Press a number key
as many times as
necessary to enter
the desired
character.
Press and hold a
number key to
cycle between tap
method and
numeric text entry
mode.
If you do not press a key for two seconds, the character in the block cursor is
accepted, and the cursor moves to the next position.
The first character of each sentence is capitalised unless you manually change
it. (Press down to force the character to lowercase while it is highlighted by
the block cursor.)

Press up or down
navigation keys to
change character in
block cursor to
uppercase or
lowercase.
Press left or right
navigation keys to
move flashing
cursor to the left or
right in text
message.
